How Will I Be Assessed?
You will agree an individual learning plan (ILP) with your tutor identifying what you want and need to gain from the course. You will build up a folder which shows the range of skills and knowledge you have developed. You will receive supportive feedback throughout the course and track your progress in your Individual Learning Plan.
Entry Requirements
To join the course you MUST be 19 or over and an independent learner. Your English language must be at good Entry 2 level or above.
• No previous experience or qualification is required, but an interest in cooking and wanting to learn new skills is required.
• Have a basic knowledge regarding using knives and appliances.

Your tutor will give you advice and guidance on other courses within the college and can signpost you for more advice and training.
If you are interested in further developing your skills for employment, you could look at progressing on to the NVQ Food Preparation & Cooking Level 1.
