Preparing for the Community Interpreting Role Certificate Level 2
This is an 17-week course that offers the opportunity for learners who are speakers of other languages to learn about the area of Community Interpreting. Learners may wish to study this subject as they have an interest in the topic or they may wish to use the qualification as a stepping stone to becoming a Community Interpreter. This qualification gives learners who are speakers of other languages the opportunity to seek work as freelance community interpreters or to develop the language and skills necessary to go on and train as community interpreters at Level 3 and Level 4.

What You'll Learn

How Will I Be Assessed?
You will build up a portfolio folder of work which shows the range of skills and knowledge you have developed. The work you produce will provide evidence of the units delivered. You will also receive supportive feedback throughout the course and will be given the opportunity to talk to your tutor and review your work.
Entry Requirements
You need a willingness to learn and a strong desire to seek work. You also need to come to college with a good attitude and be prepared to work hard. You must be over 19 years of age.
All learners must undertake an assessment before being enrolled on this course. This will be done on the 鈥楩ind Out About Community Interpreting鈥� course prior to the main course starting.

Learners may wish to progress onto the Ascentis Level 3 Certificate in Community Interpreting (learners will be signposted to this). Learners may progress straight into employment.
