What You'll Learn
The aims of the Working in Schools course is to give the learner an understanding of school settings and supporting children within these settings:
Develop a background knowledge necessary to begin a career working in schools.
Gain knowledge of the nature of today’s schools, the structure and content of the curriculum.
Identify ways in which children learn, and what support staff and do to promote their learning.
Begin a journey of personal and professional development which will enable the learner to progress onto employment and/or more advanced qualifications.
Develop a background knowledge necessary to begin a career working in schools.
Gain knowledge of the nature of today’s schools, the structure and content of the curriculum.
Identify ways in which children learn, and what support staff and do to promote their learning.
Begin a journey of personal and professional development which will enable the learner to progress onto employment and/or more advanced qualifications.
How Will I Be Assessed?
You will agree an Individual Learning plan (ILP) with your tutor identifying what you want and need to gain from the course. You will build up a folder of work which shows the range of skills and knowledge you have developed. You will receive supportive feedback throughout the course and track your progress through your individual Learning Plan.
Entry Requirements
There are no specific entry requirements for this course but we do expect full attendance.
