How Will I Be Assessed?

At the end of the programme, you’ll complete an End Point Assessment (EPA). This includes a professional discussion, a knowledge test, and a project report to demonstrate your competence and readiness to work independently as a cyber security technician.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal qualifications needed to start the Cyber Security Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship—just a strong interest in technology and a desire to protect digital systems. This programme is ideal for individuals who are analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to learn about cyber threats and defences.
However, some employers may set their own entry requirements, such as specific GCSEs or a relevant Level 2 qualification. If you have not yet achieved a GCSE Grade 4/C (or equivalent) in English and Maths, you will be required to complete Functional Skills Level 2 in these subjects as part of your apprenticeship. Don’t worry—support will be provided to help you achieve these essential qualifications alongside your training.
