This course may be free if you are aged 19-23 and do not already hold a full level 3, or higher, qualification.
If you’re eligible to pay the full cost of the course, you could choose to fund this with an Advanced Learner Loan; if you then successfully complete your Access course and then a Higher Education course, you won’t have to pay a penny back!

How Will I Be Assessed?
You’ll be assessed in a variety of ways including essays, presentations, timed assignments and workbooks. Although there is no formal examination, you are expected to work on assignments in your own time as part of directed study.
Entry Requirements
You will need *English, *Maths and Science GCSE at a grades 9-4 (A-C) prior to enrolling on this course – this is essential for primary or secondary teaching on your UCAS application.
You may also need additional GCSEs if they’re required for entry to your chosen university course, so you’re advised to investigate potential university progression routes to establish the specific entry requirements they may require.
*English and Maths equivalents will be accepted, providing the applicant provides proof from their chosen university that they will accept these equivalents for entry to their chosen programme. Equivalents are normally suitable for Post-16 Education.

This course is highly demanding, both academically and in terms of demands on your time.
You will have four taught sessions per week, equating to approximately 10 hours of contact time in College.
In addition, you’ll be expected to participate in independent study to prepare for future lessons and assignments, and it’s advisable that you also have in place suitable vocationally-specific workplace experience, as this will enhance your university application.
